What is the best time to book my Sunbury drive test?
Early morning on Tuesday to Thursday is generally ideal — before Macedon Street shopping area traffic builds up and outside school zone hours. Mid-morning on weekdays gives the best combination of light traffic and good visibility on the semi-rural sections. We will advise you based on your specific situation.
I've only ever driven in suburban Melbourne. Are the semi-rural roads really that different?
Yes — genuinely different, and this catches many Sunbury students out. Semi-rural roads have unclear or missing lane markings, narrower carriageways, open shoulders, and different hazards. The speed management and hazard awareness required are different from suburban driving. We practise these sections specifically so you're not encountering them for the first time on test day.
